This variation of the classic Durham Ranger was tied by Australian Fly Tyer, Bob Frandsen. Bob wrote about this fly, "Some people are suckers for a pretty face. It seems that I`m a sucker for any pretty fly from the most basic Seals Fur Nymph to the most elaborate Atlantic Salmon Fly pattern. In this case its a hairwing Durham Ranger after the Scandinavian style of Yuri Shumakov, Jan Faltin and the like. Here is the dressing. It follows the Price-Tannat original apart from the wing and tail." You can see more of Bob's flies at The Flies of Bob Franden.
