Step 4

Tying in the butt

1. Tie in the butt. I used orange cactus chenille for this example.

Note: Ed Ward's pattern does not call for this but I am tying it in here because the butt creates a raised surface that helps to keep the back hackle up and stops it from compressing and tangling with the trailer hook while in the water.
