Body: Brass tube type Long Range 4 mm in dia.; slots dyed with Glow red varnish
Wing: Yellow Mirage flashabou; small bunch of Serebrjanka fur dyed bright yellow; yellow and silver holo angel hair; bunch of Serebrjanka fur dyed in golden olive; yellow, black and silver holo angel hair; small bunch of polar fox tail fur dyed black; over the wing whole teal flank feather-wing length
Spey Hackle: Marabou feather dyed in golden olive, varnished with hair fixer and brushed
The amazing tube fly creations from the vise of Contributing Fly Tyer, the late Jurij (Yuri) Shumakov were an exciting feature for Salmonfly.Net, but were tempered by his unexpected death in 2006. The notes about this fly, that you see below, were written before his death.
YURI'S NOTES: This is an example how different styles can be diverted into tube fly. I can't call such fly as a "Shrimp", because it is actually not one. This is a pure transformer.
