"Fire Ant", a beautifully tied variation of the "Red Ant" was tied by the late Scott Howell of Bothell, WA who contributed to this site for many years.
SCOTT'S NOTES: This is a brighter variation of Mike Kennedy's 'Red Ant'. While the 'Ant' gained fame on Oregon's Rogue river, it is still a great choice for any low water conditions.
You can read about Scotty and see many more of his flies on his page on this site, Scotty Howell Flies.
