Tag: Medium Gold Oval Tinsel
Counterwrap: Small Gold Oval Tinsel
Rib: Large Flat Gold Tinsel trimmed to narrow edge at tie in point, edged by Medium Oval Tinsel 4 turns; Pearsall's Purple floss right behind large flat gold tinsel
Underbody: Pearsall's Stout to form tapered body
Overbody: Lavender Silk Japanese floss; From head tie in to tail and back
Spey Hackle: Whiting Farms, Herbert Miner "Chicken"
Hackle: Hackle folded and tied in at tail stem first with hackle pointing to the rear before Under body formed; then palmered behind purple floss with counterwrap from left of hook palmered holding down hackle with evenly spaced crossing of finished body (*See note about this hackle)
Beard: Hot Pink small Blue-eared Pheasant under small Teal. Both tied in at pinched stem with several wraps each to form base for Shellback
Shellback: Left and right 1/4" Natural Bronze Mallard strips tied in right strip first with 3 wraps then whip finish with 3 turns; reverse thread, tie in right strip 3 wraps whip finish opposite. Clip excess with Ginger sewing scissors and whip finish a small neat head.
Head: Loon's Black hard head
