The Original Rajah is tied with a chenille shoulder. Here, Scott Howell adds an interesting and more realistic glue stick alternative to the the shoulder and in a plum-colored variation. See also his tie of this fly in its original colors.
Scotty's Notes: : According to Trey Combs, the 'Rajah' was first tied in 1967 by Arthur Solomon of Spokane, WA. This colorful, yet subtle Steelhead pattern is ideal for low-water conditions and has also proven to be very effective for Dolly Varden and Silver Salmon.
